These cables are fiber wiring connected by 2 permanently attached transceivers, AOCs allow for longer distances due to the fiber core and laser transceivers. Point-to-Point AOCs range from 10GBase thru 400GBase data rates and support the following form factors: SFP+, SFP28, QSFP+, QSFP28, QSFP56, QSFP-DD. Active Optical Breakout Cables
Passive Breakout Direct Attach Cables allow for more flexibility in your network infrastructure configurations. These breakout cables also use fiber cabling connected by a single permanent transceiver connection on one side and between 2 and 4 transceiver connections on the other. Breakout AOCs range from 10GBase thru 400GBase data rates and dure to the use of fiber can reach up to 150 meters and come in the following form factors: QSFP+ to 4xSFP+, QSFP28 to 2xQSFP28, QSFP28 to 4xSFP28 QSFP56 to 2xQSFP28, QSFP-DD to 4xQSFP28.
